Feel

epitome

You want to feel the euphoria
Until your heart’s in a mania
Of thudding and reverberation

You want to feel the passion
Energy vibrating in satisfaction
With the wide smile on your face
Melting away the haze

But do you think constant
Upbeat vibes are reliant
On being your answer to happiness?
No, you will be like the waves,
Once crashing the shore and recoiling away

Being so high strung will be your destruction,
Just as a string that stretches before separation,
tearing away, until it is then halved
You still think you want the feelings to last?

I feel a contentment, vigilant of the pain,
But wisdom is the shield of the restrain
Being alive is not to be stagnant
It’s to be in constant
Movement

To stretch, slip, fall and stand
If you say you will never change
You are but ignorant to the inevitable
Your body may be interchangeable
But your spirit is what will remain

So, feel,
I feel!

I feel the warm inviting embrace
Of faith, calming my heart who wants to race
In the solitude, I find solid foundation
Housed in hope and determination
I don’t feel fear, as the truth departs
My lips, sweet is the taste it imparts

To others you might detect bitterness
But you must feel,
The absoluteness in acceptance
Violation, is the falseness
Comforting, is the awareness
