Billy Martin's mother has a large clown collection.

She has clowns that laugh and clowns that cry, but she does not have a clown like the little crystal clown at Mr. Appleton’s store. Billy really wants to win this clown for his mother’s birthday. To win it, he must solve the riddle that will reveal what is inside the box in the display window. He writes down the three clues that are written on the front of the box. He walks through town looking in store windows and lays in bed staring at the wall hoping to get ideas. His mother’s birthday is only a few days away. He just has to know what is in the box. Can he solve the riddle to win the perfect birthday present for his mother?
