Lessons From The Street Volume II is a collection of articles written by John M. Wills who spent twelve years as a Chicago police officer, and twenty-one years as an FBI agent. He worked in the busiest police districts in the city, which allowed him to gain a wealth of knowledge about tactics and survival. While serving with the Chicago Police Department, John earned the department’s highest award for valor as well as the Blue Star award for being wounded in the line of duty.
As an FBI agent, he worked undercover and violent crime cases, expanding on his base of knowledge. He became a firearms instructor, SWAT sniper instructor, tactical and defensive tactics instructor, and began to teach his colleagues about what he had learned. John taught street survival internationally for two years and finished the last six years of his career teaching at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Upon his retirement, he began to write about his experience and expertise, publishing articles in various police and law enforcement magazines. He has authored more than 100 articles and continues to teach his fellow law enforcement officer around the world.
