Volume one of an entertaining exploration series, the story of Max and Voltaire begins in a wonderful French bakery, where Max, a kitten, has been adopted by Madame Cupcake and her husband.

Unfortunately, their dog, Rambo, is not too friendly to Max, so consequently he is invited to spend his days and nights in the bakery, where he will not be chased or bullied by Rambo. The charming story of the meeting between Max and Volta·r , and the many subsequent adjustments and  adventures, including a new family home for Max with Madame Rosemarie and her other cats, Zoa, Tish, and Say What, along with Voltaire, the white dog who is
a friend to his cats. Max & Voltaire tackle unusual situations, and learn tolerance and ways of getting along with others. Twelve chapters of adventures (in two parts) are embellished with colorful cartoon-influenced illustrations that add to the appeal of this animal adventure tale in the village offrney-Voltaire, France. A helpful glossary with definitions and pronunciations of French terms is included in the beginning of “Max & Voltaire: Getting To Know You.” This delightful chapter book is excellent reading for children age 8 and up.

Kim Wheeler

Kim Wheeler was born in London on the 29th July 1954 and was immediately taken into care. Kim was sent to boarding school aged eleven and left aged fifteen with a love of outdoor pursuits and music. Kim worked in several dead end jobs but found a contentment driving forty ton trucks he was also a professional decorator and owned his own decorating business. Kim then worked as a DBG (driver bodyguard) until injury forced early retirement.
Kim is also a self taught photographer, a writer of over one hundred published poems and prose, a dog trainer and dog rescuer and currently owns two large breed dogs. He has also learnt to play the guitar, but sadly the sound he makes resembles a horse eating shreddies. Kim has also written several books which include a private collection of poems called Plateaus Mountains and Detritus (sadly no longer available), Rescue Dog Rescues Man which is free to download by visiting his web site www.kimwheeler.co.uk. Kim also wrote a self help book called Battle Scarred Journey where Kim sets out to help others by explaining just a few of his own experiences in his varied life. Kim is now working on the next exciting book in the series of six Jonny Plumb Adventures.

Young Author Pens Poetry Book “Rising Higher Than Ever”

Author and poet Marc A. Beausejour brings readers an inspirational poetry book, equipped with subjects that brings the struggles of young men and women to the forefront. He tackles subjects such as suicide, untimely death, domestic abuse, workplace abuse, early marriage and infidelity, not only through poems but through short story and short author reflections that readers can relate to from an emotional standpoint. I Love the Flower Girl is one of two novels I plan to publish. I have a Master of Social Work degree and undergraduate degrees in social work and psychology. Experience working with adults with mental illness and in child welfare and completing two novels have helped me hone my writing skills.

“Go Back Jack” at Emerge Market – Globel Fest 2019

Maureen took her book “Go Back Jack” to the Emerge Market at Global Fest in August 2019. She also brought along her guitar to play some songs from the book. She has been busy this summer at the Robert McClure Church Markets, busking downtown on Stephen Avenue in Calgary with the support of the Calgary Downtown Association, spreading the word through the music. She also has been handing out flyers and putting up posters advertising her book and will continue on through the fall.

Raveena has worked with children quite a lot over the years and she felt it was time to share this important spiritual work with them. In A Tale of Truth, she simplifies the essence of A Course in Miracles and makes it accessible to children in a light-hearted manner.

Marc A. Beausejour was born in Queens, New York on July 28th 1987 to Haitian parents Jean Claude and Lineda Beausejour. He began writing poetry at the age of twelve, taking part in writing articles and letters for different schools and organizations. He also performed his poetry early on at poerty slams and open mic events in metro-Atlanta as a teen. In 2011, Beausejour released his first self-published book: WORDS ON HIGH: POETRY AND INSPIRED EVENTS FROM MAB through Westbow Press, a Christian publishing company affiliated with Thomas-Nelson Publishers. In February 17, 2015, Beausejour’s second book RISING HIGHER THAN EVER was published through Total Recall Publications.
